I have been blessed to be able to participate in the celebration of five high school graduates this year. Each graduate navigated the many distractions around them and remained focused to accomplish their objective of obtaining a diploma. These graduates deserve to be celebrated and so I share their names and alma maters:
David Delemar (Westlake High School—Atlanta, Georgia)
Devin Chislom (Maiden High School—Maiden, NC)
Jada Herndon (Cherryville High School–Cherryville, NC)
Victoria Daniels (Enloe High School–Raleigh, NC)
Tyler Street (Middle Creek High School–Apex, NC)
These fine young adults are headed in different directions as they commence the next chapter of their lives. I am immensely proud of these graduates and their parents and wish the graduates all the best in their future endeavors.
One key lesson I am left with is that the news of the world is not all bad. There are bright spots all around us and we should celebrate and support them as they represent the hope of our future. Congratulations to all graduates across the land and may you each use your talents and gifts to make our world a better place.
