Garnishment for Judgments in North Carolina?

This is a question I am asked on a recurring basis.  Generally speaking, garnishment is NOT allowed in North Carolina for civil judgments obtained in North Carolina but read this fact sheet from the North Carolina Department of Labor which succinctly states the facts and law.  Hope this helps.  Feel free to share with those in your Questionnetworks as the Law and Life Blog is devoted to the dissemination of information and resources to help consumers across North Carolina.  Thanks for reading and, hopefully, for sharing.
