Car Law A to Z: G is for Gun

Didn’t see this one coming did you?  What does “gun” have to do with car law, you ask?  Read on…..

For one, I am currently handling a case where a stern talk between a car dealer and a consumer featured the display of a gun.  Yes, I mean an actual firearm and, no, the gun was not the consumer’s.

On another note when contemplating purchasing a vehicle–especially a used vehicle—be sure to bring your best proverbial (please, not literal) guns to the table.  Do your due diligence on the vehicle including possibly having it inspected by a mechanic hired by you, shop for the best loan and financing, read and understand what you are signing, and get all key promises and guaranties/warranties in writing.  Get the best deal possible and if things take a downturn during the negotiations process be prepared to leave the bargaining table.

Be careful when dealing with guns and be smart when it concerns purchasing or leasing vehicles.
