Ford and Lincoln Calling…..Recalling…Not Good
If you have a Ford vehicle you should read this blog post. If you know someone who has a Ford share this post with him or her.
Ford is recalling some 2013 vehicles for a fuel leak that creates a risk of fire. The models included in the recall are the Ford Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion, Interceptor Utility and Interceptor Sedan, as well as the Lincoln MKS, MKT and MKZ. As of March 31, Ford had received approximately 600 complaints about the fuel leak though there have been no reports of fires, incidents, or injuries/deaths related to the fuel leak.
You may remember (or have heard of, depending upon your age) of the problem of the exploding gas tanks with the Ford Pinto vehicle. Ford is currently trying to avoid any such problems and the negative publicity that arose from the Pinto problem.
If you are the original purchaser of a Ford or Lincoln vehicle affected by the recall you should receive written notice and instructions for any neccesary repairs. If you are unsure if your vehicle is affected by the recall you can enter your vehicle’s VIN online or contact your local Ford or Lincoln dealer.
Do not take a chance on your safety or the safety of those you love. Check and see if your vehicle needs review and repairs.
